I just installed a new SSD hard drive on my Mac Book pro late 2009. When I restart the computer with the Yosemite bootable usb using the option key I get a blank screen. What happens when you put the original hard drive back in? And why are you using a Yosemite bootable USB flash drive? Was Yosemite already installed on the old hard drive or are you upgrading from another version of OS X? We need way more information in order to assist you.
