I just upgraded from imovie 09 to the current version. The exact time and date used to be displayed with my pointer at whatever point in the clip I was at. I can not find a way to turn this feature on in the current version. Thank you for any help.

You can get clip info in Events by choosing "Show skimmer info" from iMovie's View Menu. However, you can't get it in a Project Timeline.

I am trying to make a movie from a camcorder. I can load the clips and everything, however, when I make the movie the date and time stamp is not right, it is an hour off. (not DST) When i play the video on the camcorder the date and time are right. I'm using iMovie 10, wish i didn't change from 9. I could adjusts the time in 9 but that option will not light up in 10. Can anyone help?

If you updated to iMovie 10, you should still have iMovie 9 in your Applications folder in a separate folder by itself. Mine shows iMovie 9.0.9 as a folder by itself. However, once you update to 10 the system will set iMovie 10 as the default. So you would need to change it back to 9.0.9.

I do not have iMovie\9. I have tried to find it and download it but only come up with 9.0.9 update. Where can I download just iMovie 9.

What's wrong with v9.0.9?

I can't find it to download. When i download 9.0.9 it is an update and you must have 9.o

Sorry, misread your post.

If you've never had iMovie11(v9), then you can't get it.

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread, but just wanted to ask about updating iMovie '09, aka ver 8.0.6. Checking for an update it comes up with a notice about iLife '11, but no way to update to iMovie '11. The "find out more" just takes me to an Apple site touting the newest Apple hardware and iLife suite. Is there no way other than buying the newest version from the App Store?

No, I'm afraid not. As member "MightyGem" pointed out in his reply unless you previosly had iMovie 11 (version 9) you can not update version 8.0.6 to 9. If you shop around (Amazon, etc.) you can find a copy of iLife 11 resonably priced (if that's what you want). Check here (http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MC623Z-A-iLife-VERSION/dp/B003XKRZES).

I figured so. If I decide to go with iMovie I'll just buy the $15 iMovie from the App Store.
