I'm looking to get a 300GB external drive to use with my PowerBook G4 and future PowerMac G5 and have narrowed it down to 2 drives Iomega
or a the Lacie?

I'm leaning towards the Iomega as it weighs under a kilo and is £10 cheaper than the Lacie (which is £179). Both have a 2 year warranty but has anyone had experience with these drives. I prefer the Iomega hard drive as its got a faster transfer rate and seems a reliable make plus it comes with Dantz Retrospect.

My iMac has an Iomega external at work and it does it's job well. My friend has a Lacie that is going strong too, though. They're both good drives, it comes down to $ and looks, I guess and the Iomega looks pretty cool.
