.: Greetings. I have a 64GB iPad 3rd Generation Model A1416, iOS 8.1.2.

According to the multicoloured status bar one sees when the iPad is connect to my MacBook, the iPad currently holds 4,877 songs. This is also the number of songs listed under General -> About, in Settings.

When I click on "Sync Music", it says that 828 songs are synched only. In the screenshots provided, I have chosen most of the music alphabetically up to the ones visible. If I try to synch at least one more artist, I run out of space on the iPad. Yet the iPad has 6x the music that I am able to actually chose to be synched. As well, if I want to delete an artist's content, I cannot do so anymore.

I am having no problems synching movies, etc. Only a problem with music.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Am I doing something wrong?

Please advise, if anyone can, and thanks in advance for your help.
