Help! I need Final Cut Express help!

I am needing some major help. I have begun editing my
Childhood Obesity feature doc, and my Final Cut
Express froze up on me. Can anyone help me?

While I was capturing footage, a box came up saying
'your startup disk is full'. Now, I can't capture any
more footage on my emac g4. I looked up mac support on
google, and it said I need to choose a different
volume on my scratch disc, but when I go to the
scratch disc in final cut express, there's no volume
option. I don't know what to do. I can't capture any
more footage on this emac. Can someone help me? Please
let me know if you can guide me....

Sounds like your out of space.

When I'm working in FCP I use a external HDD for all my project related stuff.

You cant change the scratch volume if you dont have another disk to change it to.
