Since upgrading to Yosemite and VMware fusion 7 I have had problems with high CPU use in Windows 7
After contacting VMware I was told to run this command. Please can anyone tel me what this will do.
Thank You

sudo nvram boot-args=debug=0x10

That's a very curious fix for high CPU usage. I'm running VMWare Fusion 7.1.0 (2314774) on my rMBP with Yosemite and its running two VMs (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Windows 8.1 Pro) at all times for my work and there's no abnormal high CPU usage here.

Make sure you update to the newest version. I know VMWare Fusion 6.0 had issues with Yosemite and 7.0 fixed a bunch, but 7.1.0 has more Yosemite-specific fixes..

That particular command get 'ddb' as the default debugger..see more here

Thanks Raz0rEdge, This is what VMware support told me "We have been getting reports wherein users using particular iMac models ( iMac 12,1 12,2, 11.x ) are experiencing drop in performance after upgrading their host to Mac OS X 10.10. This hardware is known to be effected due to a bug in Yosemite. The same has been reported to Apple and they have acknowledged the issue and have said that it will be fixed in the updates that will be rolled out."
Running the command has fixed the problem but I was a bit concerned what effect this would have on OSX
