I want to replace my MacBook Pro with an iPad Air. I don't know how to tell what size I need (e.g. number of GB's).

Very simple: Get the most flash memory that you can afford. The maximum flash memory for the iPad Air 2 is 128 GB.

Hi BooDog - welcome to the forum! :)

I just ordered a 64 GB iPad Air 2 to replace my aging iPad 2, but I'll not get rid of my MBPro, just like having both. SO, curious about your reasons for going 'cold turkey' w/ your laptop and just using an iPad? Dave
