How can I get my iMac OSX to default to the latest network name that my ISP gave me? I thought I did it correctly by going to systems preferences, network, and choosing Network Name: and clicking Ask to join new networks. But I still have to choose the correct network. Thanks.

Move your default network to the top of the list. You can also just simply remove all the others from the same list.

Thanks. I deleted the others. I restarted my iMac. It choose the one I wanted it to choose automatically. However, the other networks showed up again.

That's OK, as long as your preferred network remains at the top of the list the others will be ignored.
