ntl 10meg

hello again

i have just got 10meg from ntl and the downloads are really slow about 20kbs

my uploads are flying about 60kbs am using the software transmit and know from the server am using can get 500 download speed if i connect my ntl to a windows machine.

i have no firewall on the mac is there anything else that could be doing this on the mac as the guys at ntl are saying there is nothing wrong when they test the connection, and its my mac's the problem

am on tiger 10.4.2

get the software updater ran then the latest version is 10.4.5 so your well behind

Do you have a "cable router" or access point on your connection?

Try using passive mode in transmit. (transmit preferences => network)
