Windows 8 hanging on restart

Evening all,

So I've just installed Windows 8 on my Mac Book Pro and every time it attempts to restart it just seems to shut itself down. Just wondering if there is any solutions to this? I am having to wait a few minutes before pressing the power button to work again.

Are you using virtual memory or via bootcamp or another gparted for windows drive? Is the widows 8 software genuine or download by third party? Pending which version of windows 8 you have because RT version dedicated for touchscreen like iOS I seem to recall. Also what MacOSX are you using because there maybe a limitation Gparted is okay to use as this covers Linux and BSD and Windows Bootcamp and virtual memory might be the problem for certain MacOSX versions. Hopefully a grownup will slap me down here
