I've been experiencing internet interruptions that have to be fixed by renewing the DHCP license. I'd like to see the time limit on the lease to see if it's the problem.

I use an ethernet cable so I tried the following command lines :

sudo ipconfig set en0 DHCP

sudo ipconfig set en1 DHCP

ipconfig getpacket en1

but nothing happens. Is there another way?

The DHCP lease time is set on the server side, not on the client side. From the client side, you are required to renew the lease within the time limit to avoid losing it..

Renewing the DHCP lease fixing your issues might be coincidental.

If this is your home network, then go to your router and set the DHCP lease time to a couple of days or longer to see if the interruptions go away..
