iPhone cut off after 5 mins

I have an iPhone3 but calls now cut off after about 5 mins. I have put the 02 sim card into another phone and it does not happen.
Help Please.

Too little information to form a guess. Do you mean the phone loses power? Or just the call drops?

Hard to say with a phone that age, but sounds like corrosion of the antenna or motherboard. Has this phone ever been exposed to liquid or been dropped?

It's an old phone, maybe a good cleaning would help, but in reality you know what I'm going to suggest if that doesn't work ...
