Greetings! Is it possible to monitor the internet traffic at the 'source' of my house? My initial thought is to do so at the AirPort/Time Capsule in such a way that is similar to what a business would do on a server. In an ideal world, I could get a 'flag' if anything was access or messages were sent/received that were not acceptable. If this is possible, can it include iPhone traffic when it is using the local internet rather than cellular network?

If the iPhone is on the wireless network, it's like any other device.

As for your original question, the Airport Express/Extreme/TC are not nearly flexible enough for this. They truly are consumer devices in the purest sense - easy to set up by sacrificing specificity and configurability. The easiest way to monitor traffic then would be to pipe all connections through another device on your network or get a different router. You could also install network capture applications on each device.

The better question here is "what are you trying to monitor?"
