Logic Express alternative

I own a Powerbook G4 1.5 GHz with 768 MB DDR SDRAM. I was wondering what were some succesful alternatives other people have tried to logic express. i was told cakewalk makes a fabulous mac interface but i have yet to actually find it onlne. thanks

propellorhead's Reason is a great program with great synths. Cubase and Digital Performer also work nicely, Pro Tools if you have the funds Try out some demos of these.

I was just wondering, why don't you like logic?

its not that i don't like logic, i was just seeing if there was a program that a mass audiance praised over.
