'Broken' Internet

Recently I have changed my ip (Using the Proxy thing) and Safari doesn't work. So I tried turning it back to my old ip, but that didn't help.

(Btw, it's my iMac that this happened on)

So if anyone knows how to fix this, it'd really help if they could reply.

You're going to have to be more specific about what change you made and where. The vast majority of users are usually connecting their computers to a router that hands out IP addresses automatically. If your setup is different, tell us why and how..

I added the proxy and it also didn't work for me..

So it's broken...

That video here was so blurry. Usually You Tube videos open in Safari or a browser, this opened Quicktime and it was so bad I could not read anything on that screen.


Ah found out the issue. Your URL was loading a Mobile site on my desktop!

Oh. Nvm.

So, anyone know how to fix it?

Where did I say that? I said that the URL you provided took me to a Mobile version of You Tube with small videos that looked blurry on my desktop computer.

A URL is the link you posted on the forums. I simply switched to normal You Tube and could view the video clearly.

I usually do not mess with Proxies so will lets others help.

Are you getting just a stalled Safari window or an actual error? I got just the former. A free proxy service is probably being bombarded for connection requests and would overall hamper the Interent experience..

There are usually very few reasons to be using a proxy anyway..

What are you trying to accomplish in the end?
