just went on apples website and typed in my serial number on the apple care page, and it says i dont have the 3 years apple care i was meant to get last august when i got my macbook.

I'm a student in the UK so i should have gotten it free, i ordered on the phone too, so i dont think that would be the issue.

any help would be great, thanks.

When did you order/receive the Mac?

If you look at Apple Store - Terms and Conditions (http://store.apple.com/Catalog/uk_inst/Images/salespolicies_individualHE.html) and section 10.1.1, it does say 36 months from the date of delivery..

Do you remember paying for it? You get one year free, any more than that and you have to pay more. You should probably call Apple Care. They'll be able to help you more than anyone here can.

Different in the UK for students. Apparently they get the full 3 years of Apple Care for free when they buy.

My searches indicated that people got subsequent e-mails from Apple indicating the coverage was for 3 years from delivery. If the online tool isn't reflecting it properly, you might want to call the Apple UK number with your serial number to confirm coverage..
