Frequent recharging

I have my Mini set on auto-lock for 10 minutes, but the device doesn't turn off then. If I leave it on when I'm done, it just stays on. It seems to need charging more often than I thought it would. What am I doing wrong?

I'm assuming you're referring to the new iPad Mini. The full size iPad contains a larger battery and generally will last quite a long time even when playing games or browsing the net. The cellular capable iPads will suck up battery power fairly rapidly if used with 3G, 4G or what is known as LTE. My full size iPad 3 running off WiFi alone will easily last 8 to 10 hours on battery. Not sure how long the Mini model will last though.
