Another Pointless and (perhaps) Annoying Poll

Please remember to keep any responses G rated, but other than that, feel free to argue for your choice and against the rest, as long as it is civil and respecting of others.

Here is the basic scenario. It is the year 2015 and you have developed the first successful Warp-drive. You are planning a trip to the Centauri system (our nearest neighbors) but since the round trip will take 10 years, and your n-space radio attempt didn't work out, you decide to take along a companion astronaut for the voyage. Once you get past Jupiter's orbit radio contact with Earth will be basically be useless, and it may get mighty lonely and boring without company.

The gender you chose is up to you. And, you have a flood of applicants which one of the on-line dating services has graciously screened for basic compatibility.

The rule is you can only choose one, and your choice must be one of the listed options in the poll.

Plain can be dolled up and if they are already thoughtful and interesting then the trip is a breeze.
You can't fix stupid or self centered.

My choice too . . . but for the purposes of this poll assume you are the fictional here-to-fore singe intrepid explorer.
