The sound from the iMac is abysmal, so I want to upgrade to wireless speakers. (Right now I am using the ones from my old Dell which is a dramatic improvement, but not so great overall.) However, reviews show that the bluetooth signal flakes out often enough to make it a less-than-enjoyable listen experience. Is this correct? I know that the signal to the mouse and keyboard cuts out every so often, which is ominous. Should I just get some wired sppeakers?

If you are having issues with the keyboard and mouse signal cutting out I doubt that speakers are going to retain the signal any better. I have a wireless Bluetooth headset that I use. the sound is OK but signal cuts out if I forget to recharge the batteries or if I am more than a few feet away from the computer.
