Run VMware image of Fedora in Mac OS X

Hi everyone,

I received a Fedora 14 OS that was built using VMware. Is there a free virtualization software that I can use to run it on Mac OS X? Do I need to run some kind of software to convert the VMware files first? I'm a complete newbie on virtual machines. Please give explicit advice!

Virtual Box is a free VM software. No idea about running Fedora in it.

Virtualbox should be able to open a vmdk directly

Here are the instructions on setting up a VM - basically you would point to the vmdk when it asks about virtual disks.
