As the regulars would know, im on a Disability pension and dont work atm, so i have been sifting through some old CD's i have found and i found a whole heap of Electronic music namely SoundCloud ~ Binary Finary--------- Binary Finary. I use to frequent the dance scene and for the last few hours i have been in SoundCloud listening to some awesome tracks. I do have a wide range of music though, but do love my Trance :)
From Progressive Trance, PJ Harvey, Rodriguez, Tori Amos, Daft Punk, Cold Play, Hilltop Hoods, Lamb. Marven Gaye and so on.

Just curious as to what music takes you back to your youth. Im 40 and this Progressive Trance just makes me want to empty the lounge room, turn up the volume and release the dance :p

What does it for you ??

I'm 41, but pretty much the soundtrack to Dazed and Confused sums it up what styles we listened to and the movie summed up how we behaved in rural Illinois farm country. 80's music just plain sucked (to me) so we just went with what our older siblings listened to. I did enjoy Judas Priest, Ozzy/Sabbath and Iron Maiden though. Good times.

I'm 48 but get transported back to my teens by Queen (News of the World, Jazz), Iron Maiden's first album, Ozzy's Blizzard of Oz (saw his first ever UK concert in 1981), Bruce Springsteen's The River, ACDC's Highway to **** and Motorhead's Bomber.

Saw my first Queen concert at 15 and am still waiting to see a better live act (Springsteen in Cardiff a couple of years ago came close though - my wife nearly passed out during American Land at the end!!!).

Probably listen to Bruce's old stuff more than anything else right now though.

If i was to say pre Clubbing days, i would be saying KIZZ and Neil Diamond of all people. Hot August Night LP still brings a chill to my spine.
