SLOW Partitioning.

Hello, i have been trying to partition a core 2 duo MacBook via bootcamp but it has taken me 2 hours to partition & it completely froze up the macbook pro. Tried quitting the bootcamp & ran fsck via single user terminal (cmd+s) & retried but returned with the same results. Any ideas? Thanks people.

Partitioning shouldn't take but a minute or 2. The fact that it took so long may mean the hard drive was dying. See this post of mine for tips on how to check drive health:
