Wifi Symbol gone

Hi all

When im connected to wifi the symbol in the top left hand corner doesnt show. The internet works perfectly but no symbol to tell me the signal strength.

any ideas?

Go to Preferences>Network then click on W-iFi check that "Show Wi-FI in menu bar" is ticked.

First thing to try is restart it.

Is it safe to assume you're actually connected to a wi-fi router? I know you said your internet was working - but that could be via cell data - assuming you have that. Can you take a snapshot of your screen and post? I've never heard of an IOS icon disappearing like that. You could try the hard reset.

i'm def on a router as it comes up in general and wifi settings but strange after a third restart it's working. the first two i turned off and left for 5 min but same thing then the third time all ok.

thanks for the help guys
