I have Verizon fios and subscribe to the 50.25 internet package. I did a speed test and the speed was like 15 down and 8 up. I hooked up belkin router and connected to that and the speed was great, but I had problems with wireless sync and plex so I am back to just the fios router, which stinks. My friend just got the airport extreme because his router was at one end of the house and he used his laptop at the other end and he gets better speed and is able to connect.
My question is if I get the express or extreme, will that help my speed or is it just meant as an extender and what is the benefit of having the extreme over the express? I've looked online, but there is nothing about my specific situation. Thanks
