Sprint and Bluetooth DUN with OS X

I have a sprint plan with vision, and I am thinking about upgrading to a bluetooth phone so that I can check my email and stuff on an iBook, when I am on the road.

Has anyone here successfully implemented bluetooth Dial-Up-Networking with OS X and a Sprint phone?

I am thinking about either the LG PM-325 or the Samsung A940.

yes. and its fast if you live in a 3G area(main citys) you can get speeds of 600k down and 70k upload (raw speeds). but once you move out of the 3g network into smaller citys it is very very slow and not worth it. now sprint makes you have a data package if you want to use your phone as a modem so you are going to pay more than the $20 vision. currently i have the A900 with the trial of all the features and the internet is one thing i will not renew due to the price increase over the year. you are better off buying a PCI card ( at the store they had one for like $20 after rebates and new service agreement) from sprint than using the phone to connect with since the bluetooth wont allow you full use of the 3g speeds. the speed i got where using the data cable connected to a PC since the phone currently only works with the MAC via bluetooth.

If you on the road its best just to go to starbucks and most hotels have free high speed internet so you can make a quick stop in a hotel parking lot and get on their WI FI, you can also do this in most residential areas since most people dont secure the WI FI networks just dont download porn or music.

Thanks for the info. I should have been a little more clear. I am getting Vision for free because an employee friend of mine referred me to the friends and family plan. Also, I don't plan to use this for much surfing. I really just want to use it to check my email occasionally when I am not on broadband at home or work.

So, has anyone used bluetooth and vision to hook up to a powerbook or ibook?

yea that whats i use vision to hook up to the laptop via bluetooth from my A900. And sprint finally said we arnt going to allow people to use phones as modems unless you buy a data package. and vision isnt a data package vision is made to be used only on your cellphone and if you start using it on your computer they will be able to tell by the bandwidth increase you are using it for something your not supposed to and will cancel your phone service. Think of sprint as a web host they give you very little bandwidth a month which is fine for your cell phone since all you are getting is text files but plug that into your computer and all the jpegs and other internet items increase the amount you use and bam they shut you off. Vision is $20 a month and if i remember right i was quoted another $15 ontop of that for a data package.
