You need to have a licensed copy of Windows, and not an OEM. You will need to go buy a Windows install disk.

I don't if this has changed with newer versions, but I installed an OEM of XP via Bootcamp on my MBP 2+ years ago no problem. My understanding is it will forever be tied to that specific machine, but it is possible to use an OEM OS.

May be true, I dont have an OEM, cant test. I have heard of issues with OEM versions, but cannot point to specifics.

You will need a disk, no matter what, and a valid, un-used legal code.

The only OEM version that works well enough is the "OEM System Builder's" version which is a full install. And it does get tied to the machine that it's initially installed on. If the machine dies, so does the copy of Windows. At least, that's according to the Microsoft EULA.
