I have a Mac mouse with the roller ball which provides n-s-e-w cursor movement. Frequently it becomes unresponsive in the south (down screen) direction, probably from dirt?? Is there an easy cleaning procedure for this?

Thank you

I don't know if it is approved procedure, but when I owned ball mice I would pull the ball and clean it with alcohol and tissue, and use qu-tips and alcohol to do the rollers. Best would be to find some compatible cleaning fluid.

Alternately, I would ditch the mouse altogether. I switched to an Apple Magic TrackPad a couple of years ago and never regretted it one instant.
