How to remove password protection on a windows hard drive that I use USB apator

I have a problem, I tyr to copy some files that on my old windows hard drive by using a usb adaptor.
I do not have the permission to copy it to my macbook air.
Any idea how to take the control back on my macbook air?

If it is an NTFS formatted windows drive you cannot write to that disk format unless you install MacFuse

i only can read the files, how i gain permission to read and write?
Also Macfuse i install it, did not see it in the application folder, by the way i have OSX mountain lion

MacFuse is buggy. Don't use it. We recommend Paragon NTFS from Paragon software. It's $19.95 and can be downloaded from here.
