Hello,

I have a MacPro, as it didn't come with wi-fi i bought an Edimax antenna but it suddenly stopped working. I think i should get a more stable solution now. It lost connection quite a bit but i also do not want to spend loads.

I have been quoted £180-280 for someone to fit an Airport extreme card (which i think is what i need) and it just seems too much.

Are there any other options?

This is my hardware overview:

Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro3,1
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache: 12 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
Boot ROM Version:MP31.006C.B05

Also; our internet provider is Virgin Media and the router is far away two floors down.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Toni

Thanks - that was really helpful. I have ordered one!

After reading the instructions - they said i might want to use a dust belt to protect the parts in my computer when opened? What do you think?
