Strange Internet issues

Hi guys I am new to the forums, (so don't know if this the right place or not) But I’ve been having some strange internet issues on my 2013 macbook pro (13inch), running mountain lion.

Basically Messages, mail and update wont work and in safari and chrome websites seem slower (like J.P. Morgan) and others simply wont load like (https://www.mywhu.whu.edu). However it is notable that Opera seems work fine !

Moreover I have tried pinging yahoo.com and seemed to work normally. Also my iPhone seems to work fine on the wifi too.

So what can I do?

What have you got your dns servers set to? Should be under Sys Pref, Network, Adapter, Advanced then the DNS Tab.

I think you have same issue as I do. Not being able to access some websites, and some can. While those websites are perfectly accessible on your Iphone.
