Problem statement: There is an issue with word, excel, PDf as they keep crashing.
Discussion: My friend has a macbook pro 2010. She has almost everything replace except for the mother board and a few other items. However, word, excel and PDF keep crashing. (Office 2011). After 20 minutes it seems to freeze and then it will crash. Same thing with Excel and PDF.
Any recommendations. Is there a service pack?
Alternatives:
1) re-install every thing. - done
2) replace memory?
3) speak to the apple store support - a lost cause
4) have macbook pro replaced - when **** freezes over, can not even find out how.
5) use the mac as a boat anchor
6) Buy a non mac?
Recommendation:
At this point thinking about alternatives 5 and 6 unless someone can provide insight to the issue.
