Trying to connect mac book to tv to watch netflix etc. Bought a mini display to hdmi cable. Connected. TV shows mac background and makes a humming sound but nothing more? Can anyone shed any light? Everything on line says that a little tv box should pop up on the mac when it is connected but Im not getting that? TV is a new LCD one. Mac is white mac book running 10.6.8
