Vista House at Sunset

I finally made it back to the Portland Women's Forum to photograph Vista House at sunset. I took over 80 frames over a 3 hour period. I used my D800 and a Nikkor 70-300mm F/4.0-5.6G lens on my Manfrotto tripod.

Great shot. I get it now. you're secretly in league with the hard drive manufacturers. You take great shots, I download the shots and in no time fill my hard drive. This of course necessitates purchase of a new hard drive.

If I don't do any cropping or resizing my normal file size for a Jpeg is around 30 meg. :)

I can sympathize. When I first started experimenting with restoring a few family photos I saved them as .tiff files so they would be uncompressed. The idea being that if I compressed them at all that would be the last step in the process. Unfortunately I scanned at a higher rate than necessary and ended up with .tiff files in the 100 -200 MB range. Yikes.

That is one I would hang on my wall . . . of course I am partial toward Landscape shots. ;)
