Just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion, and Parallels has disappeared, and my Windows Icon has a slash through it. All I want Windows for is a few documents in WordPerfect that have formatting and graphics I want to keep. Does Mountain Lion support Parallels 6, or do I have to upgrade to a later edition?
Thanks!

Probably not the answer you wanted but . . . . KB Parallels

You could grab VirtualBox, it's free and will do exactly the same as Parallels for your purposes

Thanks, Mr. Plow - I am so NOT spending $50 to upgrade. Hope Boot Camp will allow me to run WordPerfect, which is all I need.

You could go down the bootcamp route but VirtualBox will give you the kind of experience and convenience you had with Parallels

And VirtualBox is free. I would definitely use that if all you're using is WordPerfect -- a Boot Camp install is a lot of work to access a word processor ...

Cheers

Just a quick point here.... all your *.wpd files and templates will work just fine in Open Office or LibreOffice for the Mac. I know how loyal Wordperfect users are, but there comes a time when you just need to let it go..... ;D
