im in need of a car code reader. looking at the innova 3140 but its only windows compatible. my question is = i have windows 7 on vmware fushion, i know when i have windows open and insert a disk it will ask if i want to use windows, do you think i will be able to use windows on vmware fushion to for the innova code reader ?

Sure, why not? When your Mac is running Windows in Fusion for all practical purposes it becomes a Windows machine. The code reader may need drivers though.
