So I have a macbook pro (2012 version) and I have a bit of a problem. I tried installing windows 7 using bootcamp. Everything was going well when windows 7 disk started to boot up and it asked me which amount of space i wanted. I chose the one with the amount of space i made originally for the partition, but it said i could not use it because it was not NFTS. So i said screw it i don't want to deal with this anymore and I stopped the install. It was kind of annoying to try and get back to OS X, but I did it.

My question is how in the world do I remove this unmounted partition with nothing in it?

Run Bootcamp again. Should be an option to restore the partition.

Start up BootCamp, hit continue and you will have a radio button option to uninstall Windows. Just proceed and the partition will be removed.
