Can you take a look at my iPad screen?

So, I bought my first iPad, the New iPad, about three weeks ago, and a week or so ago the screen started turning yellow after long periods of use. I returned it, and because it was past the 14 day return period, they gave me a refurb. The refurb had issues with wifi and there were marks on the aluminium back so I returned it and got another refurb. Straight away I noticed I had no hint of a yellow tinge on my screen, however, when I compare it with my brothers iPad, I noticed a difference between the screens. I've got some pictures, and I was wondering if you could possibly take a look and tell me what you think? Is this new iPad worthy of keeping?

Many thanks.

Sorry, but what differences are we supposed to see? Can you explain what you're seeing as the images you posted are not very clear.

Also, I believe I would have complained to the manager of the store and asked that I be given a new iPad since yours was so new.

Your iPad is duller than his. But do you both have the brightness set to the exact same amount? Slight variations in backlighting is normal, but not drastically different..

If your iPad doesn't reach the same level of brightness as your brothers at the SAME setting, then you should at least get a replacement to see if it does the same thing or not..

A difference in the whites and colours, i.e. which seem more true, as well as the backlight, whether the bleeds are too much.

Yeah, I tried that. They said it was Apple's policy to only offer me a refurb since I was past the 14 day return point. Spoke to the manager and tried to win him round, but no dice. They say Apple refurbishments are as good as new ones, so I'm hoping that's true. This one has no marks on at all, and everything seems to work.. it's just the screen I'm still unsure about.

Yeah, both are set to full brightness. I noticed it was duller, but it only appears when things are white. I'm on my second replacement, the first one was noticeably less bright compared to my bro's, and the wifi didn't work properly, so had it replaced with this one.

To make things easier, I got some more comparisons.

My brothers iPad is always on the left, mine is on the right.

What do you think?

I also noticed that, when viewed at a certain angle when the screens have a black image open, the black changes to a pink-purple shade. Why is that?

Thanks.

So far, I'm not terribly impressed.

First iPad I got was brand new. After a couple of weeks, the screen turned yellow. Took it to Apple, and they gave me a refurb, since I was past the 14 day return period. Refurbs are supposed to be as good as brand new. Get it home, the backlight doesn't work properly. Return that, get a new one. Pink tinge on the screen, and the wifi doesn't work properly. Return that one. Replacement has dust underneath the screen and the screen is pink in the right hand corner.

Am I just really unlucky, or is Apple's QC terrible?
