Apple pulls iOS privacy-tracking app from App Store

Amid the kerfuffle surrounding the use of sensitive personal data stored on or transmitted from iOS devices, Apple has pulled a privacy-tracking app from the App Store two months after it was approved for sale.

I'm wondering if they (bit defender) was using either non-public methods in the SDK or were reading things in the iOS hierarchy that they weren't supposed to and it got banned...? Normally one app shouldn't be able to see what another app does and how it does it due to sandboxing
