click and drag

For some reason my new MBP has started moving file/folders when I click and drag as opposed to copying them, which was what it did when I first bought it.

Although I happy with it moving stuff as opposed to copying it, I am curious why it started doing it. Is it a setting I've changed without knowing it, or is there a bug in the system. I tried a reboot but it still moves stuff as opposed to copying.

The only thing I can think of it that as I moved a load of stuff using the click&drag + command key it has taken it upon itself to make this the default option.

Any ideas/similar experiences?

Way... way too many specs to list.
If you're on the same drive, this is working as designed.

In hopes of confusing you.... ;) The move or copy action can be reversed by holding down the Option or Command key, depending on which action you're trying to reverse. A move can become a copy or a copy can become a move. And of course, it all depends on if you're working with folders on the same volume or on different volumes.
