Being a newbie I'm not sure if this is where this should be posted but here goes.
I'm running Cubase 6 on a 2009 Mac Pro 2.26 MHZ 8 core with 12 gig of Ram. My control surface is a Alesis Master Control connected via Firewire. The power up sequence is the Alesis first then the Mac to establish the Firewire connection prior to opening a Cubase project. Most times when I playback audio and MIDI tracks the Main audio output is fine. However once in a while I get no Main audio output at all even though the tracks show a audio output level. I've contacted all vendors involved but problem continues. The usual fix is to shut down Cubase and restart the Mac.
