mac outlook express help

Hi, i need help in mac outlook express
my mac is os 9.1, outlook is 5.0 version, it can receive emails but can't send,
Any tips for my trouble?

Are you sure your SMTP server is correctly set up in your account.

It's usually smtp.___.___
The blanks are the ISP, such as msn.com or comcast.net

I had this problem with Outlook Express 5.0.2 also. You have to update OE to the latest version (5.0.6) via the Microsoft website (http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downlo...D/OE/oe5.xml&secid=40&ssid=6&flgnosysreq=True). I needed SMTP authentication and OE 5.0.2 didn't support it. This is probably your problem.
What ISP do you have?
