MP4 video won't upload onto iPhone

I downloaded an MP4 file using RealPlayer Downloader from the internet. When I tried to upload it into my iPhone through iTunes, I got the following message - "xxx" was not copied to the iPhone "xxx" because it cannot be played on this iPhone. What gives? How can I solve this?

You convert it to the specs that iTunes wants for MP4 files. The codecs within the files can vary wildly (see: AVI).

I recommend using a converter like Miro that has easy presets for conversion, drag, drop, wait, done. Miro video converter is free.
