External Hard drive help

I am looking at an external hard drive for my iMac. Does anyone have experience with the Maxtor One Touch II?

All the hard drives I look at have some good reviews, and some bad reviews. I don't know if this is because there are alot of failures, or if people are really mad about loosing data.

No experience with it, but you should look for one that may come with backup software, comaptible with Macs. I've heard LaCie is pretty good too.

Thanks, I will look into that. I am leaning towards the Maxtor one now, after watching a video of it on cnet. I will consider the LaCie now too.
