Software update

Hi All,
I'm bein told by my iphone 4 & Ipad 2 that there are updates available, but cant contact either of them to the servers.....
I have made sure my MB Pro is runnin the up to-date software, but that hasn't helped the problem with the other 2 devices..
So can anyone on the Mac Forum help please.

iOS updates are handled by iTunes. Plug them in and check iTunes for updates. If they are on iOS5, you can do it from the Settings app.

Also, FWIW, the Apple servers are getting hit big time (or so it appears) it has taken me multiple attempts to update each of my IOS devices.

Both my Iphone 4 & Ipad 2 at runnin 5.0.1 (9A405).

Go to the appropriate forum and in the top left hand corner is a "New Thread" button.
