Evening all

I am trying to delete a mailbox, but the option to do this is greyed out.

I have repaired permissions on disk utility, and I am using Gmail.

Does anybody have an alternative so I may delete this inactive inbox please?

Many thanks,
Bijou Solutions

Is this a mailbox representing an entire account such as Gmail or an ISP? If so try going into Mail's preferences, clicking on the Accounts tab at the top, selecting the account from the pane at the left and checking the - at the bottom of that pane.

If you are getting rid of one of the mailboxes that look like folders, you can usually select one, go to the Mailboxes menu and choose Delete Mailbox. Sometimes you will need to restart for this change to take effect.

Thank you Slydude.

I went onto the preferences, advanced tab, and I unclicked the tick box which said 'Enable'.

It has now gone! Thanks :D

You're welcome. Glad that solved the problem.
