Is there anything for Mac similar to FastStone Image Viewer (http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm)? Preferably free like FastStone.

Something that I can easily crop, re-size, canvas size, add text and simple effects like add layer, import layer from file...

Seashore might be what you need

Seashore (http://seashore.sourceforge.net/The_Seashore_Project/About.html)

I'm not sure that it has all of the editing capabilities, but CocoViewX (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/16598/cocoviewx) is the only freeware alternative I'm aware of. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued, but you can still get the old version and play around with it. MacUpdate also has a few suggestions for alternatives at the bottom of the page I linked to above. I'm not familiar with any of them, but they might be worth a look.

It's really quite expensive, but I think ACDSee is probably going to be the closest thing to what you're looking for... ACDSee for Mac (http://www.acdsee.com/en/products/acdsee-pro-mac).

Thanks, guys. I'll give them a look. Although ACDSee at $169 is not really an option.
