Ripping Software

I am new to macs (very new!!) I am looking for the best software to rip and back up my movies.

I have fooled around with imovie & iDVD and am a little confused. Any help appreciated

If you men DVDs, I'd recommend Mac the Ripper to copy them to the HDD and then TOAST to burn the files to the DVD. DVD backup is also good.

If you mean just MOV files that you have created (non DVD), just TOAST will work fine.

yea MTR is free from version tracker and then get toast 7 to do the burning in general, well worth the money
