Is there a windows app i can get like XCode that is for Android OS? I'm running Windows 8 so the software has to work with 7.

The preferred tool for Android application development appears to be Eclipse with Google's ADT plugin (here (http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html)). A nice benefit to having an Eclipse based tool is that it will work cross platform.

Thanks, that's great that it uses Eclipse for when I get fed up with the Windows VM haha :)

If you're planning to do Android development, you might as well do in OS X. There's no benefit to doing it in Windows if you're running it in a VM.
