Animation help plz

im curious how do i make animations on a mac if i dont have photoshop or illustrator

can i make them on appleworks?

i DO have photoshop/illustrator at my school computer, i take a 3 hour graphics art class for half of my highschool day it is awesome
but can i make animations without those or do i have to use them at school?

Flash is best for web animations but it cost money. There is free software out there. Here is one
