I have a WD 1TB HD that I am trying to use with Time Machine. I can see the disk in my Finder but not in Disk Utility. I can write files to it, but very slowly. I am guessing that it needs reformatting to Mac OS to get TM working correctly with it.
Are there any other (simple) ways of reformatting the drive please? Or ways that I can fore it into my Disk Utility?
It is connected, otherwise it would not show up in finder right?
